unfinished?

Why unfinishedMe?  It was actually quite awhile ago I saw a question in a magazine...."If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would that word be?"  Not one word to define who you are, but just one word to describe yourself. 
One word. 
I really thought about it, probably too much...but anyway came up with unfinished.  I am constantly surrounded with dishes half put away, only one room of the house clean at a time, unfinished scrapbook or craft project spread out on the table, great ideas started and never completed, family and friends I mean to call, cards I meant to send, etc, etc....
And then there's me myself...always feeling not quite together.  I used to think of all this in a negative light, but Phil 1:6 (above) has become one of my favorite verses and now I'm all like, that's right I'm a mess, but the Lord is workin on me!!

Father's Day

Father's Day was yesterday and this is what B, T & E made Chris.  : )
It was a wonderful day and it got me thinking how blessed I am.  First of all, for my dad, who is quiet, kind, considerate, faithful, thoughtful and hard working, not to mention a great dad!  Then for Chris, though he grew up without a father, he is a wonderful dad to our kiddos!  But on my way to work, listening to the song "He Knows My Name", the words really struck me....

I have a Maker,

He formed my heart.

Before even time began,

my life was in His hands.

I have a Father,

He calls me his own.

He'll never leave me,

no matter where I go....

I just love that no matter what, we have a heavenly Father who loves us perfectly, unconditionally and will never leave us!!
